This 1983 Jeep CJ-7 is an all steel and rust free Jeep that spent
its life in North Carolina. It is a 3 Owner Jeep, with the first 2
owners being brothers, and the last owner was a school teacher and
she drove the jeep on nice days to school. This is a very well kept
and maintained Jeep with a file full of receipts and literature. It
was body on restored around 6-7 years ago and it has roughly 10,000
miles on it since being completed. There are a lot of cool upgrades
on this Jeep. The body on this CJ-7 is extremely clean and
straight. When restored, it was repainted in its original color of
white. The paint still looks great!! It has Bushwacker Fender
Flares, aftermarket front and rear tube bumpers, and a Bestop Soft
Top that is still in excellent condition. The underside of this
Jeep is super clean and we found no rust issues.
The interior is also in beautiful shape. It has aftermarket front
bucket seats and the rear was recovered to match. The carpet,
steering wheel, door panels, and dash pad were all replaced when
the Jeep was restored. They also added an updated roll bar from a
TJ that has the integrated sound bar. The headlights, taillights,
brake lights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all
work. The horn, windshield wipers and heat are also working.
Mechanically this Jeep is excellent!! The engine is the original
4.2L 258 Inline 6 that runs strong with no issues or red flags. It
was rebuilt around 50,000 miles ago (we have receipt) and they
added Howell Fuel Injection when it was restored. The Fuel
Injection is great for easy start and smooth power. It runs
excellent!! It has HEI Ignition, Clifford intake manifold, cold air
intake, and header with dual exhaust. The alternator and belts and
hoses were also replaced when the Jeep was restored. Another nice
item is dual electric cooling fans to keep the engine cool. The
transmission is the T5 5 Speed Manual that shifts nice with a
strong clutch. It is mated to the Dana 300 transfer case and the
4WD works like it should. The rear axle is the AMC 20 and it was
upgraded to 4.10 gears. The front axle is the Dana 30 also upgraded
to 4.10 gears. They upgraded the power steering to an AGR steering
box and steering shaft. It has power disc brakes with an upgraded
master cylinder and stainless brake lines. It has a 2 1/2 all
spring lift kit with heavy duty shackles for a great look. It is
sitting on a nice set of aftermarket rims with 33 inch Pro-Comp
tires. Great CJ for a great price!!
