'82 Yamaha YZ 80 J. Unrestored survivor. Great collectable. First ever water cooled mini! The 1982 YZ 80's are hard to come by. I purchased from a collector a little over 2 years ago who bought it from the original owner. The bike starts right up, fun to ride. I've had it mostly for display as a collectable, when friends or family visit I'll fire it up and run it around for fun. This bike was clearly ridden in it's lifetime and shows some of that. When you take a close look though- you can tell it was never raced or trashed on. All the original bolts/nuts/screws etc are in decent shape, meaning they haven't all been stripped or galled up from use. I take that as a great indication the bike wasn't used a whole lot over the years. It does show use, just not abuse in my opinion. Some typical riding wear on the frame, case sides etc. Some minor scratches on the lower forks, very minor rust on the upper area of the triple tree- I would bet most would buff out after a light fine sanding- it's not much at all but I want to mention. Same kind of thing with the plastics. All original Yamaha plastics still on the bike and in real nice condition. Front fender is about perfect, rear fender is real nice- has two creases in it (you can see in video) where it looks like maybe the fender got folded over when the bike went down in the past- but the rear fender still looks great and is real good condition other than that!

　　are originals. Fuel tank still has the original tank decals on it. Previous owner told me that when they purchased the bike it only came with one of the original side number plates so they found and purchased a pair of oem left and right side plates. Everything else to my knowledge is original to the bike. The underside of the frame has scratches in the paint- But no dents or gouges in the steel! Again, signs the bike had been ridden and enjoyed at some point in the past 41 years but not beat on. Heck even the original kick stand is still on the bike. The rear brake isn't working much at all, the front brake works. Being that I don't ride it that much I never took the time to even mess with the rear brake. Something I did do was to purchase another seat pad with foam and had an upholstery shop install a brand new seat cover. I did that because the original seat is in nice condition with no tears and I wanted to preserve that. I also had a little fun and made a Bob Hurricane Hannah tribute with a custom white front number plate and side plates. I would occasionally swap those on for display. Buyer will receive the bike as seen in photos, the manual, plus the original seat, the one extra original oem side plate and the three "Hurricane Hannah" tribute number plates.
