The 1982 Yamaha 250J was a radically innovative machine. The bike foreshadowed Yamaha's commitment to trying new ideas to go faster, even if the results were mixed or if it took years to really get right. This bike is the first of the liquid cooled motocross bikes with the liquid running through the frame, just like the Yamaha works bikes; and was a showcase for innovative designs. It was an impressive attempt by Yamaha to change the game. 1982 YZ250J turned out to be an amazing technical exercise, but most were not left stock, and finding one in the untouched condition, like the one in this ad, is very, very rare. This bike even has the extremely hard to find original front number plate, and all the original graphics, plastic, parts and it runs like a brand-new bike. I bought it from the second owner who bought it to collect from the original owner who said he only road it around the neighborhood. It has no leaks, no issues and everything works. This bike belongs in a museum imho, but makes a great man cave item; or you could use it for why it was built . . . . race it!Bill Of SaleCash, Money Order, Check, Bank WireLocated in Las Vegas, NV 89146 for shipping quotes
