Hello there,
I have a 1981 Toyota Sunrader for sale for 3,500 OBO. She has the highly prized Toyota 22R engine (4 cylinder, manual transmission), which means great gas mileage. She gets about 20 mpg on the highway, 18 in the city. She is a rare find, 17 feet from nose to butt, with the sought after fiberglass camper body, which cuts down on leaks substantially. She has 150,000 miles. Dually tires on the back with the proper axle for her weight.
She has the following attributes:
-1 brand new tire
-4 tires with less than 4,000 miles on them
-three burner propane stove
-propane oven
-three way larger fridge with tiny freezer (elec, propane, 12-volt)
-sink (with 12-volt water pump and water tank)
-hot water heater
-fresh water tank (25 gal)
-propane furnace
-tiny bathroom with toilet and shower and accompanying black and grey water tanks
-marine battery system for cabin lights, furnace fan, and water pump
-comfortable bed over cab
-2 bench seats/dinette that fold into another bed
-lots of cabinet space for storage
-full tune up done 4,000 miles ago (plugs, wires, rotor, cap, PCV valve, carb adjustment)
-engine in good condition-- would not hesitate to jump in her and drive her anywhere.
She has the following drawbacks:
-The upholstery is a little ragged
-The fan to the furnace is loud and really annoying and the furnace doesn't work great, so I don't use it often.
-There is a small patch of ratty carpet on the ladder to the cab over bed (very late 70's style, I've ripped most of it down, but haven't gotten to all of it)
-There is a small oil leak (I think coming from the oil pan gasket) that drips so that the fan blows it all over the engine. I have driven it across the country like this by just checking the oil often and topping it off when it needs it.
- a/c in cab is broken, blows air but not cold air
-no A/C in cabin
-cracked windshield
-Just a tape deck in cab
She is a great old gal and I hate to sell her. I hope someone will care for her as much as I did.
We may be able to arrange some delivery options depending on your location. Happy shopping and let me know if you have any questions.
Warmly,
