1981 SOUTH CAROLINA Duck Stamp Print

　　I am liquidating some of my Duck Stamp prints in the hope that someone will get to enjoy them as much as I have. When this was framed, it was done professionally with acid free materials. Originally purchased by me when it became available in October 1981.

　　COST OF FRAMING: $95 in 1981

　　CURRENT MARKET EVALUATION: Ranges from $575 with no stamps or framing to $2,200 with everything including a Remarque.

　　What has made this print worth so much over the years is the artist;

　　Lee LeBlanc (1913 - 1988)

　　His untimely death created a resurgence for collectors wanting his work

　　Remember, he won the Federal Duck Stamp competition in 1973

　　The original recently sold for $12,500 !!!

　　The South Carolina was one of his last nationally known prints.

　　He beat 55 other entrants to win the South Carolina

　　Once on the staff at Disney Studios, from 1941 to 1956, he was an artist for 20th Century Fox, leaving to become administrative head of MGM Special Photographic Effects Department. He retired in 1962.
