I've got my mid 80s Bridgestone T500 touring bike for sale. It's a bike that I completely tore all of it down, sandblasted the frame, got it powder covered a baby blue, and restore it. It's got a 47cm seat tube and a stand over height of 30" which puts it someplace suited for riders in the lower 5' range. Let's proceed with some specifications:.
Chromoly frame and fork powder covered baby blue by Performance Coatings in Salem.
Sealed Sansin 36h centers laced Araya 27x1.25" rims with Serfas 27x1.25" Pacer gum sidewall tires.
The drivetrain consists of a Sakae SA 165mm triple 50/40/24. That nana equipment can climb up mountains. In the rear I changed the initial freewheel with a Suntour 13-28 7 speed design. The shifting is done by Shimano RSX 3x7 brifters, far better than the downtube shifters as you never ever need to move your hands. The front derailleur is a low mileage late 80s Suntour. And the back has actually been replaced with the ever popular Shimano Deore XT long cage derailleur. The bike has all brand-new Jagwire cable televisions and silver braided housings.
The brakes are the initial Dia-Compe cantilever brakes, with Jagwire pads.
The stem is a Nitto Technomic super tall quill, had the bike when I initially got it and I decided to keep it to aid in a more upright unwinded riding position.
Brown synthetic leather wrap on the drop bars.
Sakae CT seatpost with a WTB Speed She saddle.
Misc bits I did would be the Zefal Classic water bottle cage, the quick release rear brake manager, most of the bolts were all replaced with stainless hardware.
I built this bike earlier this year in hopes that i would spend a great deal of time riding it, but I wound up just riding trails and my single speed. This has very little wear on it considering that after I reconstruct it.
Simply shoot me a text or send me an email if you 'd like to come check it out or give it a test trip. I'll take affordable offers. Thank you for looking.
