I have to sell this great motorcycle.
The perfect twin sister just sold on ebay May 18th in Chicago for $7,700.00 with 11 bidders and 31 bids. I know that is Chicago and know that is ebay, but still great investment value for someone's 34 year old bike.
Similar for $7,700.00
All the old bikes I've seen have the same problems - bad carburetors and rust. They really don't run right no matter how you try to fix them. After more than 20 years, the large rubber diaphragms inside the carbs get holes and cracks. So, I invested $400 ($100 each) in having the Yamaha's stock carbs rebuilt with new diaphragms. This bike is all set for the next 20. Look inside this Yamaha's gas tank - no rust, shiny clean, no coatings. Virtually no rust anywhere.
This 34 year old classic isn't perfect, but from 3 feet away she looks every bit as good as the one on ebay - same stock burgundy color with gold pinstripes, same perfect seat, and same brilliant chrome. And, this Yamaha runs incredibly strong and amazing with four cylinders, 1101cc, and 95HP.
I never got the original owner's manual or tool kit.
