This 2-door 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Collectors Edition is
powered by the original 400vi V8 engine paired with a SelectShift
automatic transmission. The exterior was painted with triple
pinstripes and features coach lamps and 15-inch turbine-style
cast-aluminum wheels. This specific example is presented in white
with a matching white Valino grain vinyl Landau roof, color-keyed
Landau rood inserts and molding. Lincoln covered the 6-way powered
bucket seats in Midnight Blue Khasmin II luxury cloth. Cushioning
the occupant's feet is 36-ounce Tiffany-cut pile carpeting; this
was twice the weight of the carpet in the standard Lincoln
Continental. The Lincoln also used it to wrap the interior garnish
moldings and sun visors. The padded portion of the dash is covered
in real leather. The Midnight Blue dashboard features a combination
of wood applique and stainless steel, and in front of the driver
sits a Cartier analog clock. Protecting the owner's manual is a
leather covering and a Navy Blue collapsible umbrella. With only
nine available options on the Collector Series, this example is
optioned with the illuminated outside thermometer, power moon roof
and CB (Citizens Band) radio. Optional features came as standard
equipment on a Collector's Series and included AM/FM stereo with
quad 8-track, rear-window defroster with heated outside mirrors,
automatic headlamps, illuminated entry system, passenger recliner,
cruise control, tilt steering wheel, power door locks and delay
wipers. Comes with a leather-bound tool kit. ** PREVIEW
