This motorcycle DOES NOT RUN - Please read!This is a 1978 Yamaha XS1100 XS Eleven.  There is likely internal engine damage.  It cranked and ran two months ago, and suddenly quit.  The engine will not turn now.  I am not a mechanic, so I can't speculate on what the issue is.  You are bidding on a motorcycle that will need significant engine work, or an engine replacement.  It has original to the era touring package (fairing and saddle bags).  The fairing mounts have cracked and have had a sloppy repair job - see pics.  One of the saddle bag lids has scuff marks on it - see pics.  The right front brake is leaking onto the front tire (see pics).  The left side cover plastic "pin" on the back side broke, and has been replaced with a fiberglass repair and screw - see full-bike pic. The right mirror is slightly different from the left mirror and is not original, along with the brake lever and master cylinder. Tires are mostly new.  I also have an after-market trunk-box that is color matched that goes with the bike, but is not from the era.  I have a box of other odds and ends that can go with the bike if the buyer wants them. Paint is mostly good as the bike has lived most of its life in the garage, but it is 20 years old so expect the usual wear for paint that old.  It was professionally painted with DuPont chroma-color Pearl White. The bike has been garaged kept for at least the last 20 years, so no significant sun damage.  No tears in the seat, etc.This is a 45 year old "daily rider" kind of bike - I've tried to list blemishes and issues, but you should expect the usual wear / blemishes of a 45 year old machine. THE RED MOTORCYCLE DOLLY IN THE PICTURE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION!  ONLY THE MOTORCYCLE IS UP FOR AUCTION.  Local pick-up only.  Bring your trailer.
