　　Selling this nice original 1978 Yamaha SR500 for a friend. *Please study all 64 high resolution photos and watch the video before bidding.*

　　This SR500 has low miles (8,369) and was stored inside most of it’s life. It even still wears it’s original Bridgestone “Mag Mopus” tires (very dry rotted). It has good compression, starts easily (kick start only), idles smooth, and runs great. It shifts through the gears and brakes work. The only part that’s not original is the rare period “Supertrapp” exhaust system, which is a very nice upgrade and sounds great!.

　　Having been stored inside, things like the seat cover, plastic, frame & engine paint, control switches, and wiring are in nice original condition. The original red paint on the gas tank and side panels however is chipped, crazed, and worn. The gas tank also has some dents and one of the plastic side covers is cracked. The gas tank has been professionally sealed with Caswell “Battleship Grey” epoxy sealer and the petcock is new. Chrome on fenders is nice but the front fender has a couple small dents (see photos). Great running bike but if you intend on actually using it, the tires will need to be replaced first.

　　Comes with a clear Iowa title and the frame, engine, and title numbers all match as they should. In person inspection is welcome and encouraged but no joy rides.
