Basically, a total ground up restoration was done to this bike, and it was completed 1 month ago.With the total amount of work and parts being too much to list in detail.Here is a basic list:Total overhaul of entire brake system.Total overhaul of fuel system: carb rebuild, air box rebuild, all boots replaced.Complete rework of electrical system.Complete rework of wheels: rim re-lacing/trueing, bearings/seals, tubes/tires/balance.Overhaul of forks.Steering stem bearing conversion/upgrade.Replacement of all rubber goods throughout bike.Chain/sprockets.Many gaskets/shaft seals.Restoration of 1979 Vetter windjammer II: new wiring/trim/halogen bulb conversion.Bike restored using mostly all OEM and high quality Japan parts (very minimal Chinese stuff)The 4 into 4 exhaust system was replaced in 1989 with a brand new factory set, and is still 100% rust free inside and out (little amount of chrome discolor from acid splash, hidden from normal bike viewing)Fuel tank is excellent shape, and tank interior is spotless original metal.All chrome is excellent with minimal scratches.Forks and engine cases were not polished, have small amount of dark spots patina on them.Original factory frame paint is nearly flawless (swing arm/center stand repainted)Original red paint on bike and color matched paint on fairing are in nice condition, but tank has some UV fade on top.Aftermarket Hang 2 brand seat is very nice shape (original seat pan included)Everything is included to remove the fairing and return bike to factory front end.Bike runs/drive as it should, all periodic/routine maintenance work was done at the time of build.Would not be afraid to hop on and go cross country.If you have knowledge about antique bikes, then you know the amount of time, effort, TLC that were spent here.I have $2500 in parts receipts from the build, plus build photos, plus many parts receipts from previous owner, they all go with the sale.
