1977 Moto Guzzi 850 Lemans (Mark I). VIN VE 72078 (earliest Lemans VIN is 71103, so this is early). Made in October 1976. Miles 40,687. The bike was carefully recovered in 2005. I understand the previous owner who did the restoration and the fellow he purchased the bike from. Expertly painted in gunmetal silver after Eleanor, the Ford Mustang from the movie Gone in Sixty Seconds. Two cans of the initial paint color included. I also have a pair of original-style Lemans side covers (requirement painting) included. I also have the original shocks, side stand (eliminated for clearance), switch gear and wiring, coils, etc. I have a folder of receipts. I do not have the initial mufflers.I made a couple of changes when I bough the bike in 2009. Dyna electronic ignition with new coils. New Corbin Gunfighter leather solo seat. NOS fairing matched to the bike color (though not clear-coated) with smoke-grey windscreen. Rearsets. Bub Hyper Exhaust and Crossover. New Pirelli Sport Demon Tires. Tomaselli Clip-ons. K & & N husks. Ikon shocks. Braided brake lines. Black steel fin guards. Polished alternator cover The bike is 95 % stock, with some re-wiring, consisting of relays for the headlight circuits, turn signal sign. Turn signals and front signal mount are not initial. Right choke lever moved to crash bar for much easier access. New clutch intermediate plate and input spline, some head/valve work done in restoration. The bad: Surface dings on the tank from clip-ons (see picture)-- the guiding stops are in place, however the clip-ons were fitted too near the tank. Denting on front fender (see image). Scratch in paint on the fairing (the fairing was not clear-coated). Some boot scuffs on chrome mufflers. Scrape on left crash bar. Surface rust on headers and brake discs. Speedo needle doesn't drop all the means down to absolutely no (stops at 10mph). Starts quickly, rides like a rocket on rails. I have 2 youtube videos of the bike running, however cannot determine ways to embed them right here. They are called "1977 Moto Guzzi 850 Lemans (Mk I) Starting with Choke" and "1977 Moto Guzzi 850 Lemans (Mk I) Running.".
