Description

You are bidding on is a very complete and original 550F Super Sport, good luckI have had this bike since 2019 and only rode it a few times, never got my motorcycle license so it has sat in my garage. I decided to sell it in March of this year. In preparation for sale I had the carburetor's rebuilt, new aftermarket muffler still have the original rusty muffler, rebuilt master cylinder, new front brake pads, new battery, oil and filter and removed the K&N filter and fitted with a new original filter. This is a classic head turning bike that is ready to ride. Bike is overall great shape with a little patina here and there. I did just a light cleaning before taking pictures although it could use a good detailing. After repairs I had my friend who is a motorcycle enthusiast adjust carbs and test drive the bike for several miles. His comment was "pretty fast and nimble for a 550" well if your looking at this bike then you probably already know that.I purchased the bike from an estate sale, the previous owner said he put a lot of money into the engine and side covers although he didn't keep the receipts and I do not have any details of what was done. As you can see in the photos this is in very good shape, pegs, kickstand, instruments, seat, carbs, air cleaner, handlebars, master cylinder all original as best I can tell. it does have an aftermarket voltage regulator and electronic points. Please don't waste my time or yours unless you are serious, and have money in hand. not interested in trades or becoming a bank.  Here is some Info about a Honda 550F super sport that I got off the internetThe 1976 CB550F came with standard features, such as a single-sided chromed exhaust system, wire-spoked wheels, a one-piece dual seat, a wide handlebar, an analog instrument panel, a round headlight with a chromed ring, a blacked-out steel frame, and a center stand. The CB550F was part of the Honda Super Sport range along with the CB400F and CB750F and featured a lighter exhaust system, a slightly flatter handlebar, and a different fuel tank without chrome trim. For suspension, the bike featured a 35 mm telescopic fork on the front and preload-adjustable dual shock absorbers on the, while the stopping power was generated by a 270 mm disc with a hydraulic caliper on the front wheel and a drum braking unit on the rear wheel. For power, the 1977 Honda CB550F had its muscles from a 544cc four-stroke four-cylinder air-cooled engine fed by four Keihin carburetors and delivered an output power of 50 hp with maximum strength at 8,500 rpm and 43 Nm (32 lb-ft) of torque available at 7,400 rpm.
