This past summer I acquired two 1975 KAWASAKI 900's from the estate of an individual that put them in a barn sometime in the 1990's and that is where they remained until I acquired them and removed them from the barn. I have both of them up for auction at this time. Check out the other listing if you're interested. This bike is for local pickup in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at zip code 49837. If you send a freight carrier to pick the bike up, I will assist them in loading. International bidders are welcome but you need to arrange for picking the bike up and shipping it overseas. I will assist in the local pickup with whatever carrier you send. All payments will need to clear before I will release the bike. When I acquired the bike I obtained the original title and I had that title transferred to me. Accordingly. I have a clean Michigan Secretary of State Title to this bike in my name that I will transfer to you at completion of the transaction.I am not a bike person. I acquire various items and sell them. I describe them to the best of my ability but you need to read the description and look at the pictures to decide if the bike is for you.The frame is stamped "Z1F 76439". The motor is stamped "Z1E 076605". From the little bit of research I did, generally if the frame stamp and engine stamp are within about 200 points of one another, they are an original match from the factory. When I acquired the bike it had a faring on it. I removed the faring because I don't believe most buyers would want the faring and it makes it more difficult to handle, especially with shipping. When they put the fairing on, they had to remove the front blinkers and the headlight assembly. Those items are not present and they were not incorporated into the faring as the fairing had its own blinkers and headlight, accordingly, you will need to acquire those items. This bike has the single exhaust pipe and does not have dual exhaust. You see the seat and sissy bar which I don't believe are original.I was told that this past summer when the family was getting ready to get rid of this bike, that a friend of the family who was a bike mechanic started the bike up and had it running. I have no expertise with these bikes but I do have my garden tractor so this week I took the battery out and rigged it to the bike as I wanted to see if it would turn over. I did nothing to try and actually start it, I just wanted to see if it would turn over. The video shows that the motor turns over strong. I suspect with a little tinkering (adding gas etc) I could have gotten the bike to fire up, but I didn't want to mess around and try and do that when I don't know much about these bikes. That's about what I can tell you about the bike. It looks like a real good candidate for restoration. Probably not a bike you can just add some gas and jump on and ride across the United States, but looks like a good start for a restoration project. I do have two sets of original keys for the bike. The manual pictured is the manual that was under the seat. I don't know if it is for this bike or not so decide for yourself. If anyone wants to inspect the bike prior to close of the auction, you're free to do that. I've described the bike to the best of my abilities but feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer them the best I can. Expect the condition to be that of a used bike that has been sitting in a barn for the past 25 or so years. I don't see anything that is a concern as far as rust damage but there is surface rust and pitting on the chrome. On Dec 19, 2023 at 18:12:49 PST, seller added the following information:
