Honda Gold Wing. I purchased this Gold Wing in January of 2022. It had spent from 1994 until 2021 covered in a barn in Texas. The gentleman who purchased it was an old Honda mechanic who works with a private shop in Kansas. He went through the bike extensively with new parts where needed refurbishing the bike to its original, unmolested condition. I can provide an extensive list of what was done. The bike is in excellent original survivor condition. There is a bit of fade in the paint on the 'tank' and right side cover. Everyone I talk to says do NOT have it painted in that these bikes are becoming more valuable as survivors than when restored. I ride it regularly with no issues. Have ridden to my son's house about 45 minutes away at highway speeds with absolutely no issues. Starts easily, runs, shifts, handles as it should. These things are an engineering masterpiece, if you know anything about them. What I have done to it: As you can see in the pictures, there are before and after photos of the speedo and tach. Those have been completely refurbished in that the speedo needed to be lubed and, frankly, I just couldn't stand looking at the old ones. I bought a brand new one in 1976, so I do know quite a bit about these bikes. The other thing I did was replace the starter. Started with a cheap Chinese one which lasted 300 miles. Put a high quality upgraded one on it that is great. When the work was done on it, the aluminum engine components were buffed to a nice satin finish. Looks as it would from the factory.Nothing is missing, everything there including the original exhaust, in excellent condition, grab bar, reflectors on the side of the headlights, all of the stuff that most of these lost years ago is there. All electrical: headlight, turn signals, horn, taillight, brake lights, thermostatic cooling fan, all function as they should.Negatives: Occasionally the fuel gauge and the temperature gauge will not come on right away (apparently, they are connected somewhere) but in a few minutes of riding they're working. And, there is a slight cracking on the seat near the front on the right. Just the outer layer of the vinyl, not broken through. This bike will be an excellent rider or one that someone may want to preserve. Either way, it's a nice showing example of a historic bike. As I said, contact me with any questions.I'm sure I can help arrange shipping.Addendum: New wheel bearings, front and rear New stainless steel caliper pistons w/new sealsForks serviced with new seals, Rebuilt master cylindersNew steering stem bearings, New batteryNew bulbs throughout, Installed master circuit breaker/replace OEM dog bone fuse linkRadiator professionally serviced New thermostat, New points/condenser/plugs/plug capsNew water pump, New tires/tubes/rim protectorsNew radiator hoses, Wheels trued and balancedNew coolant line O rings, Coils replaced with those from a GL1500Carbs cleaned and rebuilt using Randakk kits, New turn signal lensNew air filter, New left mirrorNew fuses, Dozens of minor things too numerous to mentionNew valve cover gasketsNew timing beltsRebuilt fuel pumpGas tank cleaned and de-rustedNew fuel lines and filterNew brake lines
