Here's a smoothie for your stable: The best motorcycle BMW ever made, the R-75, long considered the smoothest of the airhead series. The 'slash 6' series offered disc brakes vs drum, while still maintaining the Old World look of the /5.This bike has very low, original miles. The gauge cluster quit (as they all do) during my ownership, very near Winter storage time. The gauges were sent to Powl's for rebuild. The odometer was set to the mileage indicated at 'quittin time', about 26,000.Most notably the bike has a dual-disc front end that was sourced from an R-90 S model. The master cylinder was rebuilt this past Spring. The thing stops as well as it goes.Other recent work includes a new starter relay, and a 'KatDash' LED unit-replacement for the dashboard lights. Everything works. The throttle barrel has been replaced. The throttle springs are light and responsive. The clutch-pull has been made effortless thanks to 'Easy Clutch', a pulley-reduction rig invented by 'Vech'. (If you have read this far you'll know of him as the Wizard Immeritus of the Vintage BMW hobby!) That gizmo is brilliant. The bike has a new battery, with a battery tender pigtail wired on, and a Brown side stand. The original center stand is in perfect order. It runs as sweet as it looks, idles perfectly, and uses (or leaks) no oil. I always run ethanol-free gas, and have had no problems. It is currently configured with the solo saddle, and rare Wixom bag racks. The Corbin saddle and S-style fairing are included with the sale, I also have the original side covers . I can assist your shipper, or come and pick it up. Asking $8000, includes a folder of all receipts. Thanks for looking.
