You are looking at a 1974 American Revolution Bicentennial John Adams medal with a First-Day-Cover (FDC) canceled stamps. This mint coin is part of a string of Bicentennial medals which is a portion of a series from 1. This medal was manufactured with electroplated brass and was combined with stamps for a First-Day-Cover. The block of four Bicentennial Commemorative 10 Cent Postage Stamps bears the Carpenter's and Independence Halls and was postmarked July 4, 1974 Philadelphia, PA. - signifying A First Day of Issue.
The uncirculated coin was minted to commemorate the ?First Continental Congress? and presents a portrait of John Adams. On the backside, John Adams standing tall with a quill feather pen and a book with the words ?FOR THE RECOVERY OF OUR JUST RIGHTS? circling the bottom of the coin.
This Commemorative Medal is still sealed in the original package. Both medal and stamps are in excellent condition ready to be included into any assembly of stamp and coin collection. It would also be a great gift for a serious philatelist, hobbyist, or the beginning coin & stamp collector as well.
