Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this stunning 1972
Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 442 Convertible! This Olds is a serious
head-turner dressed in slick Matador Red Paint with a flawless
white power convertible top and a W30 Ram Air hood with White
stripes. The W30 features continue around back with exhaust
cut-outs in the rear bumper and flared chrome exhaust tips.
Gleaming brightwork pops all over the car with a chrome front
bumper, wheel lip molding, window trim, hood trim, door handles,
and top surround. The split front grille flanked by quad headlights
really complements the whole look. White side stripes run from tip
to tail and correct 442 badging graces the grille, fenders, and
decklid. The white top looks like new and features a clear glass
back window. This whole beautiful package is made even better with
color-keyed factory 5-spoke Rally wheels with chrome trim, beauty
rings, and caps all wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. Under the
louvered hood is a clean and tidy black engine bay that is home to
an "Olds-Gold" painted 350ci V-8. This powerplant is topped off
with an aluminum Edelbrock Performer Intake, chrome valve covers, a
polished Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, and a working factory Ram
Air air cleaner. Other highlights under the hood include Hooker
Headers, Pertronix ignition, power steering, and air conditioning
that has been updated to 134A refrigerant. The 350 is mated up to a
TH350 3-speed automatic and a 10-bolt rear end with 2.56:1
Positraction gears - perfect for freeway cruising. Stopping power
comes from power front discs and rear drums. The 442 appearance and
handling package came with FE2 suspension upgrades which have been
freshened up with new springs, shocks, ball joints, control arm
bushings, and front rear swaybars - this Olds rides like a dream!
When you open the driver's door you're greeted by a gorgeous white
interior illuminated by working courtesy lights. The OEM-correct
door panels are a combination of white vinyl, woodgrain inserts,
and black carpet and both are in good condition. The driver's door
has controls for power windows and locks as well as a toggle for
the side mirror. The front bucket seats and the rear bench are
dressed in white vinyl and in very good condition with bright trim
on the bases and backs of the front seats. Between the seats is a
black center console that features an armrest/storage box, his hers
shifter for the automatic transmission, and a woodgrain insert down
the center. A crack-free black vinyl dash pad sits above round
gauges set in a woodgrain bezel. There are working gauges for fuel,
oil, and temp as well as a speedometer and a tachometer with a
working clock in its center. Beneath the gauge cluster are controls
for the working 2-speed wipers, controls for the power top,
controls for the HVAC system that cranks out ice-cold A/C and hot
heat, and an original working AM/FM stereo. Ahead of the passenger
is a glovebox with a working courtesy light and a trunk release.
The driver is treated to an OEM 4-spoke steering wheel with a
working horn on a tilt column. The floor is covered with
high-quality black hook-and-loop carpet. Back in the trunk, you'll
find a carpeted liner, a full BF Goodrich spare on a color-keyed
factory wheel, a factory jack, a car cover, black rubber floor
mats, and a white boot cover. Only 928 442 convertibles were
produced in 1972 and this is a stellar example of those that
remain! This ride is loaded with working power options, dressed in
an awesome color combo, and has an iconic look that harkens back to
the last days of the muscle car era. Cars like this don't last long
around here, so give us a call today and be the lucky one who gets
to drive away in it!
