This custom 1971 Volkswagen Bay-Window Microbus has undergone full
mechanical restoration that includes a restored interior and dash.
The body was reworked and painted to resemble early buses. The
chassis wiring features Coach Controls body control module, giving
the bus modern features like auto headlamps and delayed dimming on
interior lights. The electric conversion kit was provided by E.V.
West and features a Netgain Hyper 9 HV motor producing 172 ft/lbs
of torque. Charging is accomplished through a standard J1772
charging port located in the original fueling position. The
transmission was converted to 2-speed and can run up to 50 mph in
first gear, making shifting unnecessary around town, with a highway
speed of 75 mph easy in second gear with reverse on a switch.
Regenerative braking keeps the battery topped off during
deceleration and braking, like most EVs on the market, and extends
your range when activated. ** PREVIEW
