Description

  For Bid is a 1971 Barracuda/Cuda clone I have restored

  Car body: Exceptionally straight California car with no rust! Standard dash, bench seat, column shift automatic. Rim Blow Steering Wheel. Originally came with A/C but is not hooked up.

  Engine Block: Originally a 318 car, I replaced it with a 360 block I removed from a 1971 Dodge 3/4 ton truck. Block date 9-23-70 was blueprinted with a .040 overbore, parallel decked to center line of crankshaft.

  Camshaft: Hughes Engines "High Ramp Rate" hydraulic. 223 split duration cam @ .050", Intake lift is .504", Exhaust is .509". 110 degree lobe separation. (Hot Cam!! but streetable and will cruise at highway speeds with no issues)

  Crankshaft: Original Cast iron, shot-peened. Rods and mains machined .010 under.

  Clevite 77 bearings. Connecting rods and crankshaft dynamically balanced.

  Pistons: TRW hypereutectic with Perfect Circle chrome molly rings.

  Connecting rods reconditioned with new ARP bolts.

  Cylinder Heads: 340 "X" type that have had their bowls opened up and runners relieved and are port matched to the intake. Stainless steel valves, hardened valve seats and guides.

  True Roller timing chain set.

  Melling high volume oil pump.

  Mopar performance distributor gear.

  Crane adjustable ductile iron rocker arms 1:5 ratio.

  TRW push rods.

  Intake manifold heat shield.

  Oil pan windage tray.

  Transmission: Bob Mazzolini Racing prepped 904 Tourqueflight Automatic Transmission with low first gear. Trans-Go shift kit TC-2 with deep pan.

  TCI 2800 RPM stall Torque Converter

  Large diameter driveshaft dynamically balanced with heavy duty U-Joints.

  Drivers side soild engine mount.

  3/8 diameter fuel line, removed original 5/16.

  Holley 650 cfm vacuum secondary carbutetor. 50cc accelerator pump.

  Weiand Action+ dual plane aluminum intake manifold. All runners relieved and port matched to heads.

  Mopar Performance XHD Rear Leaf Springs

  Rear Axle: Ed Sutton Engineering prepped 8-3/4 rear end 3.23:1 Sure grip 489 case. Green flange wheel bearings.

  Performance Suspension Technology extra heavy duty front sway bar. Factory rear sway bar.

  Front suspension rebuilt with Performance Suspension Technology polygraphite bushings. New ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm. New Gabriel gas shocks.

  New rubber brake lines.

  Power Disk brakes.

  Rebuilt Power Steering pump and box by Firm Feel stage 2. (Excellent road feel)

  Newer style 1996 starter motor.

  Mopar Performance High Energy Ignition distributor kit.

  1973 Alternator with dual field charging system.

  Extra heavy duty aluminum radiator.

  High flow brass 180 degree thermostat.

  Hooker Super Competition Headers with 2 1/2 inch aluminized exhaust pipes.

  Flowmaster 40 series with cross pipe and header plugs.

  Stainless steel resinators in front of exhaust tips.

  Front and rear fiberglass replicas of the optional 1971 Elastomeric bumpers.

  Color keyed grill with chrome headlamp bezels. Color keyed left and right rear view mirrors.
