Rare 1971 Hodaka Ace 100 W/ Swenco LL Front EndHere we have for sale a rare and sought after 1971 Hodaka Ace 100 old school race bike. I just recently purchased a bunch of Hodaka bike and parts from a widow whose husband collected and raced Hodaka’s. All of his bikes were cool old race bike that he held onto. The bike has the iconic chrome gas tank on it that is in good shape! There are a couple of dings in the tank but nothing major. The frame on the bike is a 1971 Hodaka Ace 100 but the engine is for a 125 Wombat. It was a nice upgrade that he did many years ago. This bike rips! It has a bunch of power. The intake on the engine was upgraded to an aftermarket era correct hop up GEM style. The Mikuni carburetor is nice and has been cleaned and gone through. The carburetor might be an upgrade too over stock. The exhaust looks to be from a Super Rat but has a unique silencer added to the tip of the exhaust. The front end on the bike is very unique, it’s a period 70’s aftermarket Swenco leading link front end. This is a nice upgrade you could have put on your Hodaka in the 1970’s. The front end is polished and looks really neat. The travel greatly improved and it works very well. The tires are new in the front and back. The wheels appear to be original. They shows some wear and patina on them. The engine shifts as a regular bike would with one down and four up. There is a aftermarket chain tensioner on the bike too. Somebody many years ago painted the swingarm yellow to match the yellow front springs. The fenders are NOS 1970’s Preston Petty. The seat has the original foam on it but has a brand new OEM style seat cover on it. The handlebars and controls are all new OEM style replacements. The grips are NOS Hodaka grips. The engine starts right up and the bike runs great! The bike shows wear and patina but I think its super unique and looks awesome with the chrome tank and the polished Swenco leading link front suspension. Overall this is a very cool and unique bike that would be a great additional to anyone’s collection. I can store the bike for the new owner so shipping arrangements are made and the bike is picked up. I accept cash, cashiers check, or wire transfer as forms of payment.
