This 1971 GMC K2500/K20 Pickup is an older frame off restored truck
that spent its life in the pacific NW. This truck is super clean
and went through a full frame off restoration around 10 years ago,
but has beed driven sparingly since then. It was basically a
weekend cruiser. This is an original 3/4 ton and original 4x4
truck. It was a very nice restoration and everything was new
rebuilt. The body on this truck is super straight and clean. All of
the body panels appear to be original and we found no evidence of
rust or rust repair on this truck. This truck was originally Blue
and White, but when it was restored it was completely disassembled
and professionally painted Red. The paint still looks excellent and
all of the chrome and trim is still in excellent condition. The
underside of this truck is very very clean and solid. The bed was
lined and has a custom railing installed along with a toolbox. This
truck also comes with factory cab running lights which is a really
cool option.
The interior is really nice and was also completely redone when the
truck was restored. The seat was reupholstered and the door panels
were done to match. It received a new rubber floor mat, new
steering wheel, new dash, and new dash pad. The inside of the cab
was painted when the truck was repainted and it received new door
and window seals. The headlights, tail lights, brake lights, cab
lights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. The
heat, horn, and windshield wipers also work. It is a really nice
restored interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent!! It starts easy and runs and
drives great. The engine is the 5.7L 350 V8 that runs strong with
no issues or red flags that we found. The engine was totally
rebuilt when restored and has an aluminum intake, Rochester Carb,
new starter and alternator, new fuel pump, new water-pump, new
radiator, and the list goes on. It also has stainless headers and
dual exhaust. The transmission is the Turbo 350 Automatic that
shifts nice and it is mated to the np205 transfer case. The 4WD
works like it should. It has a Dana 60 rear axle with 4.10 gears
and the front axle is a Dana 44 with 4.10 gears. This truck has a 2
Inch lift with new shocks and a nice set of aftermarket aluminum
wheels with Kelley Safari Tires. This is a really sweet truck that
someone will get a lot of enjoyment with.
