Little compares with the distinctive look of a Roots-style
supercharger pushing through a car's hood, or its accompanying,
spine-tingling whine. With 740 horsepower at the rear wheels, per
chassis dyno tuning, the 6-71-blown 440 in this 1971 Dodge Demon
street machine produces an estimated 1,000 horsepower at the
flywheel, according to the seller. Along with its supercharged
powertrain, the entire car was gone through, the work reportedly
including a rotisserie-type restoration to straighten the body and
unitized chassis, before this 1971 Dodge Demon was sprayed Glacier
Blue. The equipment roster also includes a four-speed transmission,
four-wheel disc brakes, custom-trimmed interior, a "killer" stereo,
and more, says the seller, who adds the car has been featured in
magazines and has earned several show awards.
