This is a 1971 Airstream Ambassador Land Yacht. The body measures approximately 26ft, not including tongue and bumper. It has been partially gutted for restoration. It comes with some extra parts and most of the original aluminum interior trim that can be used during reassembly. It is located in the State of Alabama, which does not issue titles for travel trailers of this vintage, so it will come with a bill of sale and proof of registration from the current owner.Notes About Condition:-Tires were replaced approximately 3 years ago, and have seen almost no mileage. They do not appear to have any significant flat spots.- AC was replaced approximately 3 years ago, and has seen very limited use during that time.-The power inverter and deep cycle battery were replaced within the last year.-There are two areas of water damage where the plywood subfloor will need to be replaced. (In front of the door, and under the bathroom in the rear). The majority of the subfloor appears to be in good shape.-There is some rust on the frame and the rear bumper, but it does not appear to be enough to compromise the structural integrity of the trailer.-There are a few dents in the exterior skin and some staining on the interior skin, but the majority of both are in good shape.-The door lock has been replaced in the past 2-3 years, but the key has been lost, so it comes without a key. The lock cylinder can be removed and rekeyed.- The front window hinge rivets have come loose and will need to be riveted back together. Some of the tracks that hold the windows open are broken, as well as a few of the brackets that hold the window closed. Rubber window seals need replacing. All in all, this is a decent candidate for a restoration for someone with the skills and the time to accomplish it. This is a no reserve auction. The winning bidder must pick up the trailer or arrange for shipping to pick up the trailer from its location in Foley, AL within 7 days of the close of the auction. Payment is due in full upon pickup.
