Nice Restored 1970 Maico MC 250 Motocross BikeHere we have for sale a nice, older restoration of a 1970 Maico MC 250 motorcross dirtbike. This is a super clean example of an early Maico motocrosser. I have a few Maico’s in my collection that I will be liquidating. I really like the look of these early square barrel engines. The bike has all fiberglass parts on it like the front fender, rear fender, anir box and the gas tank. There are no issues with the fiberglass on the gas tank. The yellow paint is shiny on the bike. There are a couple of minor chips in the paint and on the back lip of the fender. The suspension is all in good functioning order. The tires are brand new on the bike. The chrome on the rims are in great shape and have a nice shine to them. The engine runs great and has a close ratio transmission. The bike has a rebuilt original Bing carburetor on it and a new air box boot. There is a vintage K&N air filter attached to the air box on the bike. The handlebars and controls are beautiful. All of the black parts on the bike are freshly powder coated and in great shape. The exhaust appears to be original and unmodified. There are no rust holes on it. There is a dent on the bottom of it through. I do have a vintage spark arrestor that will go with the bike. It was powder coated to match the exhaust. I don’t want to put it on the fresh power coat. I will leave that for the new owner. The original fiberglass seat is in great shape too. The paint on the frame is in good shape. There are some scratch on the frame from sitting on the stand that you see it on in the pictures. Overall this is a nice, well presented Maico 250. It is not perfect but something that shows well and you would be proud to own in your collection of vintage bikes. I can store the bike for a month so that payment is made and the bike is picked up.
