After a full year of production of the most powerful production Mustang to date behind them, Ford adhered to the old adage if it aint broke dont fix it for the 1970 model year. The majority of the changes were cosmetic, with Ford offering five new exterior colors and a choice between black or white interior. Mechanically, the only change was a Hurst shifter now as standard equipment instead of optional. Additionally, the vast, iconic hood scoop remained, but it was now finished in satin black rather than matching the rest of the car. Ford cut back production to just 499 units in 1970, down 360 from the previous year, making the 1970 the more rare of the two years the Boss 429 was in productionThis car, KK2131, is a factory Grabber blue car with white interior making it 1 of 285 in this combination across all Mustang trim levels of 1970.
