Up for sale is a Langevin AM-4 console loaded with 10 line amp/preamps (8 with EQ), and 4 busses. All the modules are fully transformer balanced with excellent Langevin input and output transformers. Rare early rotary attenuator version (late 1960's) - almost identical to the one used by The Band. The console is currently undergoing a full restoration and will include all new I/O wiring, new electrolytic capacitors and a new Acopian 48VDC regulated power supply. These consoles are severely undervalued and sound fantastic once fully restored. I've compared these side by side with large API consoles, Neve modules, a Fairchild console, Spectra Sonics/Quad Eight consoles and the AM-4 always has a unique signature that stands apart from the rest. If you are looking for more colored, punchy, vintage sounds the AM-4 fits the bill extremely well. I was saving this as a sidecar for our new studio build out but the house restoration has to take priority over vintage recording equipment. Console dimensions 45"x27"x8". Approximate weight 150lbs.
