For
sale is my original 1968 BSA square Barrel B44 Victor 441 Special. It is described
as one of Peter Egan’s 3 favorite bikes of all time with the tucked in high
pipe, aluminum tank, and simple center speedometer.
I
have owned this bike for 25 years and it has been carefully maintained and kept
in a heated, AC and dehumidified garage.
It
had complete engine overhaul-top-bottom in 2005 (200 miles ago), including case
bearings, Barnett clutch, transmission, primary and rear wheel sprockets,
shifting spring, tank filter, rings, complete seals, valves, valve guides,
followers, and petcock.
It
also had a full service tune up in April 2023 with kick start lever spring
replaced. It runs strong and rides
well. It has a small oil leak like most
vintage British bikes as they split the cases vertically vs horizontally like
most other manufacturers. Maintenance records included.
A
new carburetor and gas petcock was installed and ignition coil and condenser. It has a new front tire rim and stainless
spokes and battery tender outlet. It
comes with a spare ignition key and side cover and parts manual, owners
workshop manual and BSA decal. It has a clear title/renewable registration in
my name and matching frame and engine numbers. See photos.
