For sale today is my 68' ampeg v4. This head is really a conversion from a vt22 combination by a previous owner. I purchased it on ebay 2 years earlier and had it serviced in Memphis and have utilized it in 2 bands now. My major inspirations for offering this piece of history are that I am looking for an amp with even more clean headroom and a couple of small crackle problems. First, whether playing bass or guitar with this amp, you get functional breakup at 2 and 4 respectively. I love the noise I get playing bass through it, however in my current band I am searching for a cleaner tone with even more depth and clearness. I would highly suggest this to any individual curious about high gain punk music as its tone reminds me of even more conventional hardcore bands. Regardless of the initial cleanup I purchased for it, the amp has a bit of crackle that appears to go and come, but seems most prevalent with reduced input volume. This amp is 100 watts all tube, and I believe I simply do not have the pasture to let her roam complimentary. Please do not hesitate to text me with any questions or offers. Thank you.
