I bought this from a gentleman who owned it for the past 40 years. When I got it, it was partially disassembled. I have gotten it into running/riding condition, and I would say that it can be used as is or it would be a great candidate for a full restoration. All work was done by me (I've operated a bike repair shop for 25 years). The bike runs great! Here are the answers to most questions: Most importantly-it does not smoke or make any strange noises, the clutch works perfectly and was not stuck when I fired it up! The handlebar switches are incorrect and/or modified-everything electrical works...it has a front brake cable with light switch, but the wiring harness on the bike does not have provisions for a front brake indicator. The key can be pulled out in any postion-that's the reason for the wire. The tach and speedo work as they should. The gas tank is beautiful inside-it has obviously been painted and the emblem holes have been filled-the emblems are double-face taped on. The rear fender was split up the middle-I welded it back together and smoothed it out-it needs finished professionally and rechromed. The front tire is cracked as well as the left fork boot. The fuel valves have been rebuilt-I made the packing myself. The carb is beautiful inside. Before I ran it, I removed the oil pan-it was clean inside! A modification worth mentioning-it had a different coil on it that was poorly engineered-I spent a long time to respectfully replace it with a much better later model Kawasaki dual wire coil. The frame number is W1F-00741 and the engine number is W1E-0742.MOST IMPORTANTLY: I want to paid in CASH-green US paper money at the time of pick up. I think 14 days should be plenty of time to make it happen. You can also find this bike for sale on Americanlisted-Harrisburg,PA-motorcycles for sale...you can find my personal information there!
