Beautiful original 1966 Impala Super Sport. I have owned the car since 1992 and it has been driven regularly over the past 32 years. It’s not a show car, but it is a perfect “driver” that starts easily and gets plenty of looks, thumbs up, and attention while cruising around. Great for local cruising nights. Would make a great restoration project.
The interior was completely reupholstered in 1997 and the rear seat, passenger seat, and headliner are all still in great shape. The driver’s seat has a worn bottom. The car was repainted in 2014 and looks great. It does, however, have the typical small bubbled-paint rust spots that occur above the wheels (only visible if you get very close). The engine was replaced with a brand new GM crate engine (250hp 350ci) in 2009 that has 30k miles on it. The transmission was replaced in 2009 with an early ‘80s 4 speed overdrive TH700R-4 transmission that shifts great and makes highway driving smooth and easy. All suspension components were replaced in 2009. The car is an absolute head turner that gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. No dents or visible scratches. Just a beautiful, turn-key ready driver.
