1966 Buescher 400 Trumpet, unmarked model * Marked "BUESCHER" on the mouthpiece receiver.* Dark nickel-silver finish is in very good condition with minor scratches. * Minimal number of very small dings in the finish. * A small dent was removed from the bottom of the bell bow. (See close-up photo)* Serial # is 421xxx. (Approx 1966)* The valve bottoms screw INTO the valve casing. * 1st valve slide is missing the pull knob. (See close-up photo)* 3rd valve slide ring is not a Buescher part. * Appears to be a Buescher 400 trumpet, unmarked model. * Includes the following: - CONN 7C mouthpiece in fair/poor condition. - Lightweight hard-plastic trumpet case in good condition. - Small bottle of BerpBioOil valve oil.The trumpet plays but the 1st valve in particular occasionally slows near the end of its return travel with regular oil. Using a heavy oil (mineral oil + BerpBioOil) helps minimize the issue and it played pretty well during a short test play. There is significant play of the 1st valve in the valve casing when you depress the valve and push the button side-ways. A replacement 1st valve or a complete valve job would greatly improve it. It's a pretty good-looking horn even with its imperfections. It'd make a nice addition to someone's collection.
