This 1965 Shelby Cobra 4000, CSX 4982, is one of the fiberglass
cars on a 4-inch tube chassis with independent, coilover suspension
that was built as a roller in South Africa. This car is painted
dark blue over a black leather-seat interior. The engine is an
all-aluminum 482ci V8 stroker engine, using an aluminum 427FE
Shelby block. It has aluminum Shelby heads with a Borla intake
manifold and individual throttle-bodies. The engine is controlled
by a FAST electronic fuel-injection system and is mated to a TREMEC
TKO600 5-speed manual transmission. Improvements include a stronger
steel frame and better alloys used in the components, plus better
