Here’s a pretty cool and vibe’d out Fender Mustang for sale or trade. Not much to say about these super cool guitars as they tend to speak for themselves. This is a late 1965 with the rare and desirable slab rosewood fretboard. These slab boards were only on the student models from late ‘65 to early ‘66. Fender quit using slab boards by 1963 so this brief reemergence is really cool. This Mustang sits completely stock. Original pots and pickups date to late ‘65. The pickup slider switches are a little finicky but I’m working on cleaning them up. The original tuners are on the guitar too and they’re a little stiff but I’m also working on getting them a bit loose.Other than that it certainly plays as it sits and sounds great. It could use an honest setup with 11s but I’ve got it strung with 10s right now and it’s fine. The original Olympic White has faded to an almost yellow color with plenty of checking to go with it. Very cool and unique in my opinion.Like I said it’s completely original but I’m missing the whammy bar and original hardshell case. I’ll include a gigbag with the sale.Open to cash or local trades for USA guitars or vintage Fender amps. Will ship on your dime.
