You are looking at a 1964 OMC Johnson Runabout 17' with original Johnson OMC trailer. This is a fully original survivor that was recently rescued from a potato cellar in Idaho. (no, really... it was)The boat was purchased from an estate auction. The owner passed in early 2000. Wife stayed on the land until she passed in 2020. Boat remained in the back of the potato cellar with various other old trucks for at least 20 years. Trailer tires were rotted and axle was seized when we pulled it out, so we replaced the original 2500lb drop axles with 3500lb new drop axles and 14" wheels with brand new good year tires. Ready to roll from here to Maine! The boat itself has been cleaned and basic functions verified. The oil is fluid but we opted to sell as is, rather than risk damage by an attempted start. All the rest of the turning mechnaisms work, electrics seem fine. This will need some attention to be a total show-winning machine but its in amazing condition and not restored at all. A genuine survivor (hard to find these days). If you are looking for a cheap boat that you can get for nothing and tool around the lake, this probably isnt your auction. If you are looking for base to restore an awesome peice of 1960s nostalgia and run around the lakes turning the head of everyone you pass, this might be your boat. Will be stored covered and indoor until sold. Can be viewed in person by appointment. May consider trade for interesting cars or other unique items. Boat and trailer will be transferred with a bill of sale as Idaho doesn't issue titles on boats older than MY2000. Thanks for looking and please do not hesitate to ask questions.
