Finished in an Opalescent Maroon over a matching interior, this
1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I roadster carries a full restoration by
David Ferguson of Images Autobody in Campbell, CA. This
matching-numbers car is powered by a 3.8-liter inline 6-cylinder
engine paired with a rebuilt transmission. The engine was
completely rebuilt using new pistons, rings, valves, chains,
bearings, oil pump, seals and gaskets. The radiator, fuel pump,
starter and alternator were also restored to new. The carburetors
were completely rebuilt and all hydraulics were brass-sleeved. A
new clutch was installed, and the rear axle and suspension
components were rebuilt as new and plated. A new cloth braided
wiring harness was fitted as new. The brakes were rebuilt with new
rotors and wheel bearings. The full rotisserie restoration featured
every nut, bolt and component being removed, restored and
refinished, and the bonnet was completely disassembled and
bead-blasted. The chrome on the E-Type was then triple-plated for a
perfect shine and durable finish. The upholstery was replaced in
fine maroon leather and all carpeting was replaced as well. A new
dash panel was installed, and all the weatherstripping was
replaced, with both doors and windshield also receiving new glass.
Jaguar's perfect execution of the Grand Touring experience is
nicely displayed in the steering wheel that was refinished to
factory specifications. Other items that received attention were
complete body soundproofing and a new stainless-steel exhaust
system. This Jaguar rides on new Dayton wire rims with knockoffs
and new tires. The original tool kit and jack are included in the
sale. This Jaguar also has its Heritage Certificate. ** PREVIEW
