Travel back in time with this cool acoustic guitar. Made in Chicago, Illinois by the late, great Harmony Company, it's a Harmony Monterey, also known as model H-950. The year of manufacture is ink stamped on the inside back: 1963. The Monterey was a popular Harmony model for many years. With a 15-7/8" lower bout, it's a full-size archtop guitar. It's missing the old pickguard. Rosewood fretboard and skinny brass frets are both in good condition. Cosmetically, it's got some ordinary age and play wear, with various little scuffs and scrapes, but looks good. There are a couple of grain cracks on the lower bout side, emanating from the tailpiece screws, but they're harmless. The neck heel is firmly attached to the back with no separation. 12th fret action is okay, about 4/32" on the bass side and 3/32" on the treble side. Waverly open-back bell-end tuners work well. No case, but it will be well-wrapped in bubble wrap for shipping. I just put new strings on it today. It's a classic All-American guitar, ready to play. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 46"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
