Description

1963 IMPERIAL CROWN CONVERTIBLE, EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CAR.

It is thought this is one of the 1963 Imperial conv bought new by The Shriners of Omaha in 1963, it is not confirmed though. White car with blue leather interior, light blue convertible top and they always ordered their cars fully loaded, just like this one.

The car is totally original with exception of one repaint and the conv top was replaced not that long ago, in original color, light blue.

The body is excellent, the pot metal chrome that tends to get pitted on older Imperial is excellent and pit free, the interior is original and very, very nice and that includes the dash pad and steering wheel.

The car was ordered with I think all available options in 1963,

  Power steering

  Power Brakes

  Power windows

  Power seat

  Power vent windows

  Power convertible top (works perfectly)

  Power door locks

  Power antenna

  Automatic headlight dimmer

  Cruise control

  Signal seeking radio

Remote mirror on the left side and a mirror on the right side

  Air Condition and tinted glass

  ETC, ETC.

Everything works except the P-antenna, the motor works but the antenna does not move.

The Imperial runs and drives virtually as well today as it did in 1963 when the car was sold new.

It truly is a pleasure to drive the Imperial, on city streets or on the highway.

The rear diff has been rebuilt and there was transmission work done around 4000 miles ago. The transmission shifts so smoothly that you can hardly feel it shifting gears.

I doubt there's another unrestored 1963 Imperial conv out there in this excellent condition and there is surely none at this price!

Only 531 convertibles were made in 1963 so it was a rare car even as new, not many buyers could afford a luxury car like this one in 1963.

To buy a 1963 Imperial convertible and restore it would cost way on the other side of $100.000, making this car a bargain.

Plus as we all know, an unrestored car in great condition is so much more difficult to find than a restored car, making it valuable of course and rare.

The Imperial is in Phoenix, Arizona and it is sold with a clear title.

We sell worldwide since 1986, export is never a problem.
