Travel back in time with this sweet old tenor saxophone. It's a Buescher Aristocrat, model S-40. With a serial number of 375,138, it was built in about 1963 in Elkhart, Indiana. It's been much played and much loved. It has age and play wear all over, notably lacquer finish wear. It's got scratches and minor dings, notably on the bow. All in all, despite the finish wear, it looks good. And loved. It has all its pads. I don't know if they're original pads. They're old, but they're still supple. All the mechanisms and keys work. The neck cork is old, but okay. Sorry, no mouthpiece. It comes with a LeBlanc neck strap, a cleaning brush, and cleaning rag. It comes in a Selmer case. The case is quite worn. It is functional (handle, latches, hinges), but the case lid is painted with designs and the word FREE. The case latches work, but the case latch springs don't work. The case is tattered around the edges, showing the wood underneath. It's a classic All-American saxophone, ready for a new owner. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a stout cardboard instrument box.
