1959 RARE Gold British Presentation Flare Tip Set/

　　Here we have a highly regarded and rarely seen 1959 Gold Plated British

　　made flare tip presentation set. The plating and the clear lacquer protective

　　finish have survived more than 50 years in great shape. The gold plating is

　　in MINT condition, there is absolutely no loss at all. The TTO head opens

　　perfectly and closes tightly and evenly as it was meant to do. This beautiful

　　collectible razor is a very effective closed guard shaver with great knurling

　　on the handle. The razor feels great in the hand. It has a mild head design

　　and decent heft of 59g. The handle is about 3 inches long.

　　This presentation model of the Gillette flare tip razor came in this classy

　　and rare leather case, The instruction brochure for this razor is also

　　included, something rarely seen with this set. The razor is in MINT condition,

　　the case a little less so due to a few scuff marks as seen in the pictures.

　　The case is a real beauty as is the entire set. Also included is a NOS

　　dispenser of 10 Gillette Blue Blades still in the Original box which has

　　never been opened.

　　1959 was a great year for Gillette's classy designs in the US and England.

　　This is one of my favorites. Great knurling for grip on the handle, and

　　twist to open mechanism makes it very easy to load a blade. On the inside of

　　the blade compartment is stamped Brit. Pat. 694093. On the outside bottom of

　　the blade compartment there are the Roman numerals II. These Roman numerals,

　　(I, II or III) indicated the aggressiveness of the razor with I being the

　　gentlest. This is a magnificent set that you will probably never see again.
