Head-turning, two-tone, black and white, 1955 Packard Patrician with 3-speed automatic transmission and a whole lot of class !
This car has had a fair amount of mechanical and engine work done to restore it to good running and working condition. The interior is in good shape, the upholstery on both front and rear seats is in great condition with some stains on the headliner and floor carpets. The exterior has an authentic look and paint is original except for an area on the passenger side rear deck where some body work had been done and the paint is cracking/flaking. Chrome and detailing is in decent shape, but not perfect, yet adds to the authenticity of the vehicle.
The automatic leveling system works and compliments the plush ride suspension. Power steering works as do the power brakes. Headlights and tail lights work. Radio, heater and wipers also work. There are some leaks under the vehicle from power steering system as well as some oil, nothing significant, but a slice of cardboard under the parked car is wise.
Vehicle has passed inspection and is registered in Colorado where i have enjoyed driving it occasionally. This car was a collaboration and fun-project i had with my late father-in-law. Sadly, he never got to drive it after we got the the lifters replaced and the engine running smoother.
The ideal owner is someone that can appreciate the classic look of a mid-50's sedan that was technologically ahead of its time. The vehicle needs nothing to be a fun cruiser. If bodywork is your thing then some repair to the rear deck and some time on the paint and chrome could make this a real beauty.
