Lola is her name....she's a beautiful showgirl ready to escape for some fun...NOW! This American Airstream classic was spared nothing in her frame-up restoration.1955 is the crme-dele-crme of the vintage Airstream years. She is a CA Whaletail. (See rear pics of top segment) RARE. I will list the highlights of her restoration. It took one year of 5 days a week labor....1000s of man hrs and a lot of $$$$! She weighs in at 2700 pds and pulls like a dream.
1. FRAME was rust free from start. Frame prepped and repainted with 3 stage paint.
2. SUBFLOOR-Marine Grade 3/4 plywood from stem to stern (fine boat building grade) 2 part epoxy coated on bottom. NO SCREWS- Used stainless elevator bolts that were then coated on bottom with RinoCoat
3.RUNNING GEAR- All NEW tires-wheels-bearings and races. Original axel is American made 4x4" steel-perfect!
4 DOOR-IN-A-DOOR. completely disassembled and rebuilt-shined interior door.
5. SHINED to a brilliant mirror finish. ($3000) IT JUST RAINED IN PICS....RAIN DROPS ON HER SKIN

7. ORIGINAL Princess Stove. Powder coated top Ferrari Red. Works perfectly.
8. NEW FRIDGE-Elec. With freezer.
9. JETSONS front Goucho-Makes into a full bed.
10.FLOORING. 50s diner flooring. A WORK OF ART. 3 Colors scream fun and Atomic midcentury style.
11. ORIGINAL BIRCH cabinetry. STORAGE everywhere.
13. NEW porcelain commode. Original sink. (A space for the original stainless shower I saved in restoration)
14. NEW electric ...wiring...new breaker box with 8 breaker spaces.
15. INSULATION. Spaceage Reflexic. Old fiberglass removed.
16. Epoxy 3 STAGE MINT GREEN coating. (Same color as original Zolatone)
