1951 Mint Gillette Aristocrat Cased Safety Razor Set all original. The razor shows Absolutely No plate loss, there are no dings or scratches what so ever. The razor is in Excellent condition, it appears to never have been used. The head and handle are bright and shiney with an Extremely Slight rainbow effect, the TTO (twist to open) doors open smoothly and close tightly and evenly to hold the blade in place.
Everything about this razor is mechanically perfect, the TTO (twist to open) mechanism works smoothly and turns easily as it was meant to do. The razor and blades come in the Original case which is in Very near Mint Condition. On one side of the case I noticed in the pictures something that I didn't see when I was looking at the case, on the left-hand side of the case the gold trim has a Tiny Amount of vintage Ware, the camera will sometimes catch things that your eye might miss. The hinges of the box are in Perfect working condition with No rust or Ware.
The inside of the case is in Mint Condition, with no wear at all. The Gillette logo and Made in USA can be clearly seen on the satin fabric that lines the inside top of the case. The fabric inside the case top and bottom has not lost any of its color or vibrance. Included is a partially full dispenser of Gillette Blue and Cream Blades which are the Original Blades that came with this great collectible set. This is a great razor for a collection or daily use.
A stunning antique Gillette gold plated razor! This razor is shave ready and has been disinfected with antibacterial soap and polished. As always please be sure to look closely at all the pictures as they are an exact representation of this fantastic collectible item, also see the pictures that I've posted on YouTube.
HISTORY: Spanning approximately 70 years, the Aristocrat name plate was the longest running of the Gillette line of DE razors and, in my opinion, was their flagship razor. True, more upscale and pricier sets were made, but only for short periods of time. This appears to have been a very popular razor in its time.
