1950 Ford Convertible
Sheridan Blue (same as 1949 Colony Blue) with correct Black and Red Interior, and Black Top with Maroon piping.
Fully carpeted front, back and trunk; black carpet with red piping.
It is in fine driving or parade condition.
It can be shown, but is not concours; however, it has taken several trophies.
The car completed the Great Race coast to coast in 2004 and trophied.
It ran again in 2005.
All colors and trim are factory correct (except the carpeting which would have been a rubber mat in the front seat and the trunk and would not have had red piping).
The 239 cu. in. 110 HP Ford Engine has been replaced with a 255 cu. in.125 HP 1952 Mercury flathead V-8 that is now about 275 cu. in. The engine has covered about 1,000 miles.
It has dual header exhausts, dual Stromberg 94 carbs mounted on an Offenhauser aluminum manifold with Offenhauser aluminum heads with about a 9.0 to 1 compression ratio (about 130 psi compression vs. 110 standard).
Estimated Horsepower is now 200.
The transmission is a 3 speed column shift (no overdrive).
