1948 Was the first year Harley Davidson built the small motorcycles. This is the first production model with a hand clutch and foot shift. It has a 2 cycle motor, single cylinder, 3 HP. The front forks is a girder front end with rubber band suspension. Factory rated high speed of 50 MPH, I have never ridden it faster than 20 MPH. There is a short in the headlight wiring.
