Description

  Vintage 1939 New York World's Fair dessert server. Handle is detailed with a figure of George Washington and a symbolic representation of Washington's Coat of Arms.

  For a historical association, the opening day of the 1939 New York World's Fair coincided with the 150th anniversary of George Washington's Inauguration.

  The face of the cake server has the fair's iconic Trylon and Perisphere.

  Back of shaft imprinted "NYWF National Silver Co. A1".

  Size: about 10" long by 2" at the widest point.
