1927 F.E. Olds trombone. Dual bore .485/.500. Self-balancing. Serial # 5438. Patent date April 2 1912. Engraved Golden Bear "It's a Bear" logo. Very unusual 6-5/8" bell, as well as unusual slide design, so may have been a custom order. Was obviously refurbished many years ago and, generally, lacquer is holding up but with multiple small lacquer flaws and very light dents. The largest dent is still very small - about 5mm wide, halfway down the bell section, and may be 1mm deep. It is shown in one of the pictures. Stocking nickel plate is still all good - not worn through. There's a hairline surface crack or scratch in the outer slide where some light dents are (see pic), but it doesn't seem to be leaking air. That area is causing the slide to stick, so a shop will have to repair the outer slide before use. Also needs water key. Includes a weathered but usable 1920s-30s case with good handle and latches.
