This "mother's baby guard" was used for my dad who was born in 1919.
The patent may have come out in the late 1890"s. They are called "play yards" these days. It is made of wood and has 6 rows of wood abacus beads on each side that are now faded colors. It is missing 3 vertical dowels.
This item has been in storage for approximately 85 years. It would make a lovely display for a doll or bear collection! Not to be used for an infant or child, display only.
The measurement is: 42" by 42".
Thanks for looking.
