Built by Frank Holton around 1917 back when Holton was still in Chicago, Illinois. Serial number 38,101. It is a Holton Special model.      It has a very attractive gold-colored lacquer finish.      It has significant age and play wear. The bell has some folds around the lip. There are various dings. The inner slide is very worn and does not move very well inside the outer slide. The master tuning slide is stuck.      It comes with a Vincent Bach 7C mouthpiece.      However because of its age, provenance, and attractive finish, it is a worthy candidate for restoration.
