1916 Willys-Overland Model 86, seven passenger touring car. The 1916 Overland Model 86 was the biggest, grandest car Overland offered in 1916. With a wheel base of 125", a 45 hp, six cylinder Continental engine and jump seats to permit seven passengers, this was their version of a luxury SUV. The 6 cyl. Continental Model 7H engine has a 3 1/4 inch bore and 4 1/2 inch stroke, it runs clean and strong, makes no smoke, and has good compression on all cylinders. All engine accessories such as carburetor, magneto, starter and generator are the correct factory original items, and they work properly. As can be seen, the engine is running in some of the exterior shots, note that the oil pressure is up, and the generator is charging correctly. The brakes have been relined and the leather facing was recently replaced on the cone clutch. The wire wheels were a factory option on the Model 86, tires are size 34 x 4. This is an older restoration of a good original car. The paint has a few small nicks here and there but is still very presentable, has a wonderful luster. The leather upholstery is original from 1916 which is amazing as it is nearly 100 years old now. Lots of gently used patina here, you will enjoy it. The Overland comes with some spares, including an extra set of clear glass headlight lenses, a full set of pistons and rings, some connecting rod bearings, a wheel wrench and starting crank, other small items.
